BEGINNER GROUP LESSONS
Group Lessons meet online via Zoom and Lichess. They are paid by the month and meet every week, year round, except federal holidays. During the school year, there are no lessons on days in which Portland Public Schools are closed. That works out to three to five lessons per month. Start or stop your subscription anytime. No refunds for missed lessons, but you can attend a make-up lesson the same week as long as there is room.
Beginner Group Lessons are appropriate for students who are new to chess all the way up to USCF 600 or Lichess Rapid Rating of 1000.
Beginner lessons are currently held on Tuesdays from 5:50pm-6:50pm.
